Daniel Jeremiah: Shedeur Sanders Drawing ‘Pretty Split Opinions’ Ahead of NFL Draft | Bleacher Report
During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, NFL Network draft guru Daniel Jeremiah praised Sanders for his accuracy and toughness, but he noted that some evaluators question if any of his skills are in “elite” territory. Still, he said he views the 22-year-old as one of the top two signal-callers in the upcoming draft along with Miami’s Cam Ward.
“I think you get him in the right place, you protect him, he’s a point guard, he can be very, very efficient,” Jeremiah said of Sanders.

Giants have No. 3 pick, $50+ million to rebuild roster | ESPN.com
The Giants remain an advocate of having their coaches involved in college all-star games. and Schoen has talked in the past as viewing this as an advantage. Their coaches get to work directly with prospects, which perhaps gives them a better idea of the kind of person they are or what makes them tick.
The Giants are big on touch points, the number of times they can get in front of a prospect, whether it be at a college all-star game, the scouting combine or in the predraft process. Passing game coordinator/quarterbacks coach Shea Tierney got to work with tight end Theo Johnson last year at the Senior Bowl. Kafka saw running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. at the Shrine Bowl. Johnson was the Giants’ fourth-round pick and Tracy their fifth-round selection.
Leonard: With Titans inviting a trade in NFL Draft, will Giants move up for a QB | New York Daily News
This means that the Titans are open for business. And that means the Giants may be only one Joe Schoen phone call away from trading up to No. 1 overall to select New York’s choice of Miami quarterback Cam Ward or Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
It’s Sam Darnold-or-bust in slim QB market for needy Giants | New York Post
Chris Simms, who is the son of two-time Giants Super Bowl champion Phil Simms, revealed who he would sign if the Giants opt to sign a free agent quarterback.
“None of the free agents move the needle at all, for me, except Sam Darnold,” said Simms. “This is such a big year for the Giants that you can’t deal with some guy who, ‘We see talent and potential, and we think we can make his throwing a little better.’ You need a guy who can run the offense, make the throws and all that.”
Best landing spots for PFF’s top 15 free agents: Defense | PFF
PFF spotlighted two members of the San Francisco 49ers that the Giants should sign this off-season: CB Charvarius Ward and S Talanoa Hufanga. Ward’s overall body of work speaks for itself, as he has posted strong 80.0-plus grades in both 2022 and 2023, showcasing his reliability as a top-tier cornerback. efensive coordinator Shane Bowen’s heavy use of Cover-3 (35.6%, eighth-highest in 2024) aligns well with Ward’s strengths. While Hufanga’s performances dipped this year, new defensive backs coach Marquand Manuel has had success with single-high defensive schemes, something the Giants may hope to emulate with Hufanga.
Change was coming for Giants defense, but changes they made were surprising | The Athletic
It appears that the regression of 2023 first-round pick Deonte Banks is being pinned on Henderson instead of Bowen and Daboll. It was clearly a challenge for Henderson to get through to Banks, who struggled to cover No. 1 wide receivers and displayed poor effort multiple times.
Henderson was the only member of the organization to publicly hold Banks accountable for his lack of hustle. Daboll publicly downplayed Banks’ lapses until benching the second-year corner during a Week 8 loss to the Steelers.
Giants’ Mike Adams added to American Team staff at Senior Bowl | USAToday.com
Giants assistant secondary coach Mike Adams will also head to Mobile, Alabama where he will serve as defensive backs coach for the American Team.
For Adams, who spent 16 years in the NFL and earned two Pro Bowl nods, this will be his second consecutive year on staff at the Senior Bowl. In 2024, he served as special teams coordinator alongside Giants quarterbacks coach Shea Tierney, who had been named an offensive coordinator.
