Zak Kuhr said to be rejoining Mike Vrabel
New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel has reportedly raided the New York Giants for a second time since taking that job less than two weeks.
Giants defensive assistant Zak Kuhr is reportedly leaving the Giants to join Vrabel in New England.
Kuhr followed Giants defensive coordinator Shane Bowen from the Titans in 2024, his only season with the Giants. He had spent the previous four seasons working for Vrabel with the Tennessee Titans, the first as a quality control coach and the last three as an inside linebackers assistant.
Ryan Cowden, who had been an advisor to Giants GM Joe Schoen, recently let New York to join the New England front office.
The Giants also recently fired defensive backs coaches Jerome Henderson and Mike Treier. Marquand Manuel was hired to coach the secondary.
Giants offensive coordinator/assistant head coach Mike Kafka is also still a candidate for the head-coaching job with the New Orleans Saints. Kafka is expected to receive an in-person interview with the Saints on Friday.
