The Jets hired Aaron Glenn as head coach and he may want Nick Caley as OC, per report
As expected, the New York Jets hired Aaron Glenn to be their head coach and one of the first names to pop up as an OC candidate is yet another branch off of the Sean McVay tree: SI’s Albert Breer names pass game coordinator Nick Caley as one of three top candidates.
Among those that I’d expect to be in the mix to be new Jets coach Aaron Glenn’s offensive coordinator: Rams pass-game coordinator Nick Caley, Texans QBs coach Jerrod Johnson and Vikings QBs coach Josh McCown.

Caley just finished his second year under McVay and his first as the pass game coordinator. McVay hired Caley after he had spent eight years with Bill Belichick on the New England Patriots staff, most of that time as the tight ends coach.
It is all too common for tight ends coaches to be the pipeline towards OC and head coach positions, as McVay himself can attest to. The other position most often attributed to OC roles are quarterbacks coaches and that would be the two other that Breer named: Texans’ Jerrod Johnson and Minnesota’s Josh McCown.
Breer followed up to say that he would be surprised if McCown left the Vikings.
