Rams rookie Jared Verse doesn’t mince words about his hatred for Eagles fans
Jared Verse thinks that Eagles fans are “so annoying” and that he gets “genuinely upset” when he sees fans in green and white jerseys, setting up a rare matchup that we rarely get to see in the NFL anymore: A player who isn’t afraid of starting a rivalry.
We used to praise players for hating other teams, players, and fanbases. It’s just another way that Verse is like a throwback to a powerful edge rusher of past decades.
His message to Eagles fans this week as the Rams prepare to play in Philadelphia:
“I hate Eagles fans.”
“I hate Eagles fans. They’re so annoying. I hate Eagles fans. When I see that green and white, I hate it. I actually get upset. I actually genuinely get hot.”

The 24-year-old candidate for Defensive Rookie of the Year went to high school in Pennsylvania noted that Eagles fans were yelling obscenities at him — at SoFi Stadium — earlier this season in L.A.’s loss to Philadelphia. He’s just returning the favor.
Imagine what obscenities will be yelled at him this Sunday when he’s playing in his former home state?
Consider not just the long history of Eagles fans that most of us know about, but just this week another Eagles fan was permanently banned for verbally abusing a woman standing in front of him for being a Packers fan.
What are they going to say about Verse, now a poster boy for Eagles fans to direct their hate?
If the NFL has a throwback week reminiscent of old rivalries, they won’t hold back. And neither will Jared Verse. And maybe that’s what this divisional game needs as a headline.
