Dolphins Address Offense in Dane Brugler’s Latest Two-Round NFL Mock Draft

The Athletic’s NFL Draft Analyst, Dane Brugler, released a two-round mock draft on Wednesday Morning. Here’s who the Dolphins selected with their picks.

A wise man once said:

“Mock drafts are like buttholes. Everyone has one, and they all stink!”

(Spoiler alert: I said it)

That saying still holds true in 2025, yet here I am. Once again, I am writing an article about, you guessed it, mock drafts! However, this mock draft differs from others as it comes from one of the best in the business, Dane Brugler!

In his latest mock draft, Brugler wastes no time selecting Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cameron Ward as the first overall pick for the Tennessee Titans. The next few picks are EDGE Abdul Carter to the Cleveland Browns, CB/WR Travis Hunter to the New York Giants, WR Tetairoa McMillan to the New England Patriots, and CB Will Johnson to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

At No.6, the Las Vegas Raiders get quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Followed by a personal favorite of mine, defensive tackle Mason Graham falling to the New York Jets at No. 7. (It better not be Flores!!!)

Georgia pass-rusher Jalon Walker lands with Carolina at No. 8. Safety and teammate Malaki Starks are going to the New Orleans Saints at 9. Two offensive linemen come off the board in back-to-back picks, with the Chicago Bears drafting Ohio State tackle Josh Simmons and the San Francisco 49ers, Armand Membou from Missouri.

The Dallas Cowboys select Luther Burden III, adding another dynamic receiver to the offense. If the Cowboys draft 12th, you know exactly what that means…

WITH THE 13TH PICK IN THE 2025 NFL DRAFT, DAN BRUGLER HAS THE MIAMI DOLPHINS SELECTING::::

13. Miami Dolphins: Will Campbell, OT/G, LSU

“Campbell earned the starting left tackle job in Baton Rouge shortly after he arrived as an 18-year-old freshman, then allowed only two sacks in his 38 career starts. Some scouts see him at tackle, while others believe he is a guard. But with potential shuffling to come on Miami’s offensive line this offseason, Campbell could help in multiple spots.”

My Take:

The Dolphins could address several areas of need at 13, with prospects like TE Tyler Warren, DT Shemar Stewart, and EDGE Mykel Williams still available on the board. That said, Miami needs to stop neglecting the offensive line (IMO) and #BuildTheWall for Tua Tagovailoa and Co. to operate. I love this pick and would be more than happy to be forced to watch Will Campbell play football for the next decade. He’s an absolute beast that could move inside if Miami chooses that route.

48. Miami Dolphins: Harold Fannin Jr., TE, Bowling Green

My Take:

Tyler Warren is the top tight end in this draft class; that’s not really up for debate. But if the Dolphins address the offensive line instead of drafting Penn State’s unicorn playmaker, landing Bowling Green’s record-setting tight end is one hell of a consolation prize. He also has a better run-blocking grade than Warren and is Pro Football Focus’ #1 graded tight end, making the decision to draft Fannin Jr. — if available at 48 — as big of a no-brainer as Campbell in round one.

What are your thoughts on Dane Brugler’s latest two-round mock draft? Would you have drafted someone else at No. 13? What about the Dolphin’s second-round selection; would you have gone elsewhere @ 48? Do you believe Will Campbell and Harold Fannin Jr. can take Miami’s offense to the next level?
