What we learned from the Bills’ Wild Card win vs. Broncos
If they can’t stop it, why would you stop doing it? The Broncos had no answer for the Bills running game, and for James Cook in particular.
Cook had 120 yards on the ground on 23 carries (5.2 ypc) and scored a touchdown.
It seemed every other time Cook touched the rock he was close to breaking off a big run. Cook has taken his game up a notch this season and has rounded into a great early-down back. Pair him with Ty Johnson who added 44 yards and Allen who added 46 yards, and the Bills offense is a problem before you even start mentioning Allen’s arm.
They combined for 210 rushing yards in the win. Leaning on James Cook and the run game has proved to be effective for much of the season and it continued into the Wild Card round.
