On Saturday, Kansas City opens the postseason by hosting Houston for the Divisional round.

Each practice day of the season, the Kansas City Chiefs release an official injury report leading up to the next game. On Saturday, the Chiefs will host the Houston Texans for a Divisional round game on at 3:30 p.m. Arrowhead Time.

Here is the Chiefs’ first official injury report of the week:

Some notes

  • In their first injury notice of the playoffs, the Chiefs posted a nearly flawless report, with wide receiver Mecole Hardman (knee) listed as the sole limited participant.
  • At the time of this writing, Hardman remains on the Reserve/Injured list, as does cornerback Jaylen Watson (ankle). The difference between the two is that Watson received a full practice designation — his first since returning to practice from injury.
  • Watson is trending in the right direction to return for the Divisional Round on Saturday, and we have more from head coach Andy Reid on that here. Watson and/or Hardman would need to be activated to the roster to play against Houston.
  • It’s worth noting that after missing Week 17’s Christmas Day against the Pittsburgh Steelers, both defensive tackle Chris Jones (calf) and left tackle D.J. Humphries were also full participants. Defensive back Chamarri Conner (shoulder) was injured during the team’s Week 18 loss against the Denver Broncos, but he seems to be OK, as he was also a full participant.
  • Quarterback Patrick Mahomes (ankle) continues to receive treatment for his high-ankle sprain, but he was a full participant.
  • For the Texans, linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair (knee) missed practice. A key player for Houston, Al-Shaair missed the Week 16 game against Kansas City as he served a three-game suspension for an illegal hit on Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
  • Right guard Shaq Mason (knee) missed practice and is not expected to play against the Chiefs. His backup, Juice Scruggs (ankle), was also out of practice on Tuesday.
  • The Texans listed both defensive end Denico Autry (knee) and tight end Dalton Schultz (shoulder) as limited due to injury.
