The Buffalo Bills have had a second member of their front office interview with another team regarding their vacant general manager position.

The New York Jets have announced that the Bills’ assistant general manager Brian Gaine has interviewed for their vacant general manager position:

Gaine’s interview announcement comes after Buffalo’s director of player personnel, Terrance Gray, has also interviewed with the Jets along with the Tennessee Titans.

Gaine is in his second stint in Buffalo. He was previously the Houston Texans’ general manager but returned in 2019 after a quick year in Texas.

The Bills have won five-straight AFC East titles. Meanwhile, New York has missed the playoffs for a league-leading 14-straight years. Gaine has experience with the Jets. He was a scout with the team from 1999 to 2005.

After five seasons with the franchise, former general manager Joe Douglas was fired in New York on Nov. 19. The Jets were 30-64 under Douglas’ tenure.

Jets Wire will provide all updates relating to the team’s general manager and head coach searches throughout the coming weeks.
