The Los Angeles Rams are looking for their first playoff win since their Super Bowl winning campaign
The Los Angeles Rams (10-7) and the Minnesota Vikings (14-3) faceoff on Monday Night Football for the final wild card game of the year. Both teams have had nice seasons with the Vikings having the better regular season record. But L.A. did beat Minnesota earlier in the campaign.
Does their first matchup mean anything for this upcoming contest? We’ll find out exactly what it meant on Monday night. You aren’t going to want to miss this one, so here’s our how to watch guide!
Sam Darnold didn’t play his best against the Detroit Lions to close out the regular season. He missed some open throws, and the team underwhelmed. That doesn’t take away from the fact that Darnold has over 4,000 passing yards to go along with 35 touchdowns heading into his game against the Rams. He’s had a solid season.
Darnold can make it a great season, and up his value in free agency exponentially with a playoff win.
The Rams have been led recently by their young defense more so than Matthew Stafford and the offense. Rookies Jared Verse and Braden Fiske have lived up to the hype, and there’s still room for improvement, but the present and future of the team looks bright.
Stafford didn’t exactly end the season on a high note stat-wise as he failed to top 200 passing yards in any of his final three games, but he led the Rams to wins and to a division title. That’s more important than the stats.
Can Stafford get hot at the right time in the playoffs? Tune in on Monday Night Football to find out.
