Rams fans not losing homefield advantage without a fight

Rams fans not losing homefield advantage without a fight

Rams season ticket holders bought 25,000 tickets in the first hour of sale for Vikings game

The Los Angeles Rams may have been forced to go on the road for their “home” playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday, but that doesn’t mean that Rams fans are going to give up a homefield advantage that easily. According to the Rams, they sold 25,000 tickets to season tickets holders for the game at State Farm Stadium in the first hour they went on sale.

By the end of the two-hour window, that number more than doubled to 52,000 seats sold to Rams fans.

Even if there’s a little more purple in the stands than there might have been if the game as at SoFi Stadium, the Rams and their fans are trying to do everything in their power to make Glendale and State Farm as accessible as possible. And should the Rams win, it will be one hell of a bus ride back to Los Angeles on Monday.

The Rams are practicing under the clouds of the California wildfires on Friday and then they’re headed to Arizona.

Team president Kevin Demoff noted that it became clear this week that the city also wouldn’t be able to staff the game like usual — football stadiums with tens of thousands of people need a civic presence — and that made it clear the game would have to be moved.

The Rams must now go to Arizona on Friday night. The team was hoping they didn’t have to leave this early, but VP Tony Pastoors called hope “not a strategy”.
