After a historic 15-2 run in the regular season, how many All-Pros should the Lions have?

With the Associated Press All-Pro teams being announced later Friday, it felt like a good time to open a discussion about how many All-Pro nods the Detroit Lions will have after a successful regular season in which they finished with the NFC’s best record.

There have been a ton of standouts for the Lions on both sides of the ball, but which players do you think will be selected to the 2024 All-Pro teams?

That brings us to today’s Question of the Day:

How many All-Pro should the Detroit Lions have?

Answer: Let’s get the obvious ones out of the way and count them up. First up, we have right tackle Penei Sewell. This would be the second consecutive first team nod for Sewell in what should be a long run of dominance for one of the best players in the entire league.

From there, I think we still have to include wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. While his raw statistics took a bit of a dip with the emergence of fellow wide receiver Jameson Williams, St. Brown was still fantastic all season—especially in big-time moments. Next up, I would include center Frank Ragnow who has been one of, if not the best center in the NFL.

After that I am going with safety Kerby Joseph. Senseless narratives aside, Joseph was one of the best defenders in all of football this season, and finished with a league-leading nine interceptions on the year.

One I went back and forth on was superstar running back and NFL touchdown king Jahmyr Gibbs. Any other year, I think Gibbs would be a no-doubt selection. However, this year both Saquon Barkley of the Philadelphia Eagles and Derrick Henry of the Baltimore Ravens also have compelling cases.

So at the end of the day, I think I am going with three total All-Pro selections for the Lions. Even though I might be hoping for four.

How about you? How many All-Pro should the Lions have? Let us know in the comments below.
