Lions News: Watch Lions players react to being named All-Pro

All certainly well-deserved.

There are quite a few happy Detroit Lions right now, as several learned they were named first-team Associated Press All-Pros for the 2024 NFL season.

The Lions media team blessing us with videos of four of the six Lions named to the First Team learning they’d made it. Jeremy has some background and more details on it all, including who made second-team.

Amon-Ra St. Brown learns he made the team when recording what sounded like a Lions promo in German. Suddenly, wide receivers coach Antwaan Randle El enters the room and tells him to keep reading the prompter. Penei Sewell learned the news from his own wife, holding their daughter. He’s confused on how she knows and it’s great.

• During their break, several Lions went to a Pistons game and hung out with fans. Hooper even recreated Amon-Ra St. Brown’s famous headstand.

• You always hope your favorite athletes end up being cool dudes off the field. Spoke with my colleague Josh Landon, who recently received a home visit from David Montgomery. Josh bought a bunch of Montgomery jerseys for his family for Christmas, Montgomery saw it on social media, and they began talking. Soon enough, Montgomery came to his house to meet Josh’s mom and they bonded over their faith. Thus this awesome picture of his mom praying with Montgomery for his health was born. Josh tells me he was super cool and hung out with them a bit to watch football.
