First reports from both sides ahead of their wildcard matchup
The Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams have issued their first injury reports ahead of their Monday night wild card playoff game. Here they are:
Minnesota Vikings
- OLB Patrick Jones II, Knee, DNP (did not practice)
- RB Aaron Jones Sr., Quad, LP (limited participant)
- QB Sam Darnold, Quad, FP (full participant)
- CB Fabian Moreau, Hip, FP
- TE Josh Oliver, Wrist, FP
- DT Taki Taimani, Ankle, FP
Darnold showing up on the list is a bit of a surprise but being a full participant no big concern either.
Taki Taimani has had his window opened to return from IR and could potentially be activated for the Rams game, which would add depth to the interior D-line.
Fabian Moreau seems likely to return for the Rams game as well, being a full participant to start the week.
Patrick Jones not practicing isn’t a surprise and he’s more doubtful to play on Monday.
Los Angeles Rams
- TE Hunter Long, Quad, FP
- RT Rob Havenstein, Shoulder, LP
Not a long list for the Rams.
Havenstein is back practicing after missing time with a shoulder injury, but Rams head coach Sean McVay said the expectation is that he’ll play on Monday night.
Probably not a lot of drama in these injury reports but stay tuned for any updates.
