NFC Wild Card Playoffs: Minnesota Vikings at Los Angeles Rams
A rematch from earlier in the season
Contributors:
Super Wild Card Weekend in the National Football League will end with a rematch from earlier in the 2024 season, as the Minnesota Vikings will travel to SoFi Stadium. . .at least, that’s what the schedule says right now. . .to take on the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football.
The Vikings missed out on their opportunity to clinch the NFC North and a first-round bye with their loss in the regular season finale, while the Rams had wrapped up the NFC North in Week 17 and rested their starters in a meaningless finale against Seattle in Week 18.
This is a rematch from Week 8 of this season, when the Vikings made the trip out to the West Coast on a short week for a Thursday Night Football matchup with the Rams. After scoring touchdowns on their first two possessions, the Vikings managed just two more field goals for the rest of the night and gave up four touchdown passes to Matthew Stafford in a 30-20 loss.
Monday’s game is currently scheduled to take place at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, with a 7:20 PM Central kickoff slated for Monday night. However, there has been a little bit of doubt cast on that with wildfires currently raging through southern California near the Los Angeles area. The fires and, potentially, their effect on the air quality in the area could lead to the game being relocated, presumably to a place like Arizona or Las Vegas.
We’ll be putting all of our coverage of this week’s game in one place right here, so make sure to refresh and keep up to date with all of the latest coverage of this week’s contest.
