Raiders’ star defensive end is dealing with more change
Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby addressed Tuesday’s firing of Antonio Pierce, a coach who aggressively pushed the team to promote to the full-time position ago, on his podcast.

Crosby said he loves being a Raider wants to remain with the franchise long term, but also said on multiple occasions that “we’ll see.” Crosby said this is an important offseason and he wants to see what happens with the coaching hire.
“There’s a lot of decisions to be made, not only on a personal level. I have to make the decision that’s best for me.” Crosby said on his podcast. “I’m going to see. Don’t know what the coach is going to look like, the front office. There’s going to be a lot of changes. Again … We’re going to see what happens. I love being a Raider. I want to win here. I want to win with the Raiders but we’ll see. There’s going to be a lot of changes. I’m just going to take it one day at a time.”
Crosby’s message at the end of Pierce’s tenure was the same as it was last year when it was reported he was going to consider to be asked to be traded if Pierce didn’t get the job because he was tired of the constant change. Now, a year later, more change is coming.
Last month, Crosby speculated about his future with the team based on the instability.
He was complimentary of team owner Mark Davis’ desire to win and it’s clear Crosby would rather stay with the team that drafted him in the fourth round of the 2019 draft. But it’s also clear he’s tired of the change and now he’s facing it again
Appearing on his SiriusXM NFL Radio show, Crosby said the team can turn around it’s fortune fast if the right moves.

While it’s obvious Crosby is frustrated, I wouldn’t assume he’s going to ask to be dealt. He will see what changes are made and then move forward. But there’s no doubt, after six seasons with the Raiders, his patience is wearing thin.
My read on Maxx Crosby: He wants to stay, but he’s tired of going back to Square 1. If he is on board with the next regime, Mark Davis better get it right, because I don’t see Crosby wanting to be around for yet another reset in a year or two, which is fair. #Raiders
