Waiting all day for Sunday night
It’s game day, ladies and gentlemen, and the final day of the 2024 NFL regular season is upon us. We’re going to have to wait all day for Sunday night, as the league has made today’s game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions the final game of the year. Since we want everyone being able to keep track of all the action, here are all of the ways that you can do that.
Television Info
Kickoff for this one is going to be in prime time, with things set to get underway at around 7:15 PM Central time this evening. The game will be broadcast on NBC, with Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth on the call in the booth. If you’re in the Twin Cities area, your NBC affiliate is KARE-11. No need for a map for this one, because it’s going to be the only game in town.
For our men and women in uniform overseas, this one will be carried LIVE on the American Forces Network, specifically on AFN Sports. Kickoff is slated for 0100Z, which works out to 0200L on Monday morning for viewers in Central Europe, 0400L on Monday morning for those on Arabian time, and 1000L on Monday morning for fans in Japan and Korea. Be prepared to either get up early or stay up late, folks.
Radio Info
If you have a Vikings Radio Network affiliate in your area, most of them will probably be carrying the game. We’ve provided you with the full list of affiliates for this season, so use our page to find the affiliate nearest to you.
Those of you who will use satellite radio to listen to this one can find the feed from the Vikings Radio Network on SiriusXM Channel 226. You can listen to the Colts feed on Channel 225 if you feel compelled. On top of that, there’s SiriusXM NFL Radio, Channel 88, for the Westwood One feed. If you use the SiriusXM app, the Vikings’ permanent home is on Channel 820.
Referee Info
According to the folks from Football Zebras, the officiating crew for this one will be led by Brad Rogers. Strangely enough, the last Vikings game that Rogers called took place in the same building as tonight’s game, as his crew handled the Vikings’ 30-20 loss to Detroit at Ford Field to end last season.
Weather Info
With this game being played indoors at Ford Field, the elements won’t affect the play on the field. If you’re traveling to the game, it should be relatively nice outside, all things considered, according to our friends from WeatherNation. Temperatures at kickoff will be in the mid-20s under partly cloudy skies and light winds.
Betting Info
According to the folks from FanDuel, the betting lines haven’t changed from the start of the week. The Vikings are still a 2.5-point underdog, with the over/under sitting at 56.5 points.
Streaming Info
The game is on Peacock. That’s a streaming service. There’s your stream.
I’ll say the same thing about illegal streams that I always say: don’t. Or damn sure don’t go advertising them here. You’ll be banned, and that will be the end of it.
Post-Game Info
We will once again be bringing you a post-game show courtesy of Vikings Report. We obviously can’t give you an exact time for the show to start, but we will be on the air within a few minutes of the final gun, and we hope that you come and join us.
That should be everything you need in order to keep up with the action on Sunday Night Football from U.S. Bank Stadium between the Indianapolis Colts and our Minnesota Vikings. We’ll have our first discussion thread of the day dropping about thirty minutes before game time, around 6:45 PM Central, and we hope that you’ll join us for it.
