Walters has been a massive influence on Chase and the receiver room in Cincinnati.
The Cincinnati Bengals are set to wrap up a roller coaster of a 2024 regular season on Saturday against the Steelers.
Although it has been a disappointing season, Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Trey Hendrickson have been stellar and the best at their respective positions across the league.
Chase is just one game away from securing the triple crown, leading the NFL in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns.
The Bengals franchise wideout recently showed love to Bengals WR coach Troy Walters and shared the impact he has had on him since being drafted back in 2021.
Good stuff from Ja’Marr Chase about receivers coach Troy Walters showing him plays before being drafted in 2021 and how he became one of best receivers in NFL, fulfilling Walters’ prediction that he would become a “franchise receiver” pic.twitter.com/iXoPjXUt6l

“I do remember him (Walters) showing me some of the plays (during the pre-draft process) and trying to break it down to me with Joe still being the quarterback. What I remember most is him getting me down on plays as early as possible, even when I wasn’t picked yet,” Chase said.
Walters told Chase that he would become a franchise-changing pick for the Bengals, and that has clearly come true.
The Bengals WR coach has been a great fit for Chase, Higgins, Iosivas, and so many others who have come through Cincinnati over the recent years.
It is great to see a superstar like Chase give his coach some love.
