Ranking the best NFL rookies after Week 17 | PFF
3. WR Malik Nabers, New York Giants, PFF Grade: 87.0 Nabers delivered his best performance of the season as the Giants upset the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The rookie wideout has now earned an impressive 87.4 PFF receiving grade for the season, averaging 2.13 yards per route run in his debut campaign.
12. CB Andru Phillips, New York Giants, PFF Grade: 78.1. Phillips had another solid showing for the Giants this past week, allowing just three receptions for 26 yards from 32 snaps in coverage against the Colts. So far this season, he has allowed just 9.2 yards per reception and has earned a 75.7 PFF coverage grade.

Malik Nabers: Chasing NFL, NY Giants history in rookie season finale | The Record
“You learn to respect guys in this league when they’re doing it on the field, and Malik has been doing that from the first day he got here,” said Isaiah Simmons. “Everybody should know just by watching him that Malik is going to be a very, very, very special player in this league for a long time. If this was the first game you’ve ever seen him, that’ll tell you all you need to know. But this season, he’s had four quarterbacks throwing him the ball, still got 1,000 yards, still got a reception record. The kid is just such a competitor, he doesn’t want to do anything but win. And if he has anything to do with it, that’ll come.”
Inside the Numbers: Malik Nabers closes in on franchise reception record | Giants.com
Despite playing in only 14 games – he missed Weeks 5 and 6 with a concussion – Nabers has 104 receptions for 1,140 yards and six touchdowns. The 104 catches are the Giants’ rookie record, obliterating the former mark of 91 shared by Odell Beckham, Jr. (2014) and tied by Saquon Barkley (2018). If he catches four passes in Philadelphia (he had a season-low four receptions against the Eagles on Oct. 20), he will break Steve Smith’s franchise record of 107, set in 2009. In Sunday’s 45-33 victory against Indianapolis, Nabers passed Beckham (101 in 2016) and moved into second place on the franchise’s career list.

What the Giants learned about their O-line leaves them searching for the same old answers | New York Post
It was one of the biggest questions and concerns for the Giants heading into the season.
The health of Daniel Jones was up there, but adjacent to that was the quality of the offensive line. Was it the improved unit it needed to be to finally put an end to years of search and struggle? The Giants in 2023 allowed a franchise-record 85 sacks — the second-highest total in NFL history.
Buying or Selling the Latest NFL Coaching, GM Rumors Ahead of 2024 Season Finales | Bleacher Report
Buy: Giants Want to Keep Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen. Things haven’t gone well for the Giants over the past two seasons, but we can buy the idea that Mara wants to give Daboll and Schoen another shot. As New York searches for its next quarterback of the future, the franchise may want as much stability as possible everywhere else. Reshuffling the front office three years after hiring Daboll and Schoen wouldn’t provide that.

The draft order coming into this weekend
NFL Draft 2025: Will Giants get any Week 18 help to move up toward No. 1 pick? | NJ.com
At this point, three 3-13 teams are atop the draft — Patriots, Titans, Browns, and Giants. The Patriots won’t draft a quarterback (and could trade that pick). The Titans very well could draft a quarterback. The Browns might not (though they could). And the Giants definitely could (or will).
A big issue for the Giants, if they win in Philadelphia, is that there are five 4-12 teams from Nos. 5-9 (Jaguars, Panthers, Jets, Raiders, Bears) — and the Giants lose the strength of schedule tiebreaker to all of them except the Bears at No. 9.

4. New York Giants: Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama. There’s no question this is way too high for the version of Jalen Milroe we saw for most of 2024, but this is the best landing spot for him to become a star in the future if Brian Daboll is still in New York. Milroe needs to be brought along slowly and in structure, and if he’s given the runway, he can reward his NFL team with a superstar presence. His deep passing and mobility can be the foundation of a tremendous skill set.
Giants blew so many chances to avoid their Saquon Barkley-Eagles nightmare | New York Post
Saquon Barkley would not be anywhere near approaching the NFL’s rushing record if the Giants re-signed him.
OK, now that everyone agrees on that point: It still was a significant mistake by the Giants to miss four different windows dating back to November 2022 to get a deal done with Barkley — most notably haggling over the NFL’s version of salary-cap chump change in July 2023 — and essentially deliver the eventual 2,000-yard rusher to the rival Eagles.

Eagles open Dallas Goedert’s practice window | Bleeding Green Nation
The Eagles announced that they have open the practice window for tight end Dallas Goedert, who will return to the lineup just in time for the postseason. Goedert was placed on IR with a knee injury in early-December, but was initially designated as week-to-week, so it didn’t appear season-ending. Now he’ll be able to return to the practice field and hopefully work his way back into things before the first round of the playoffs.
