On Sunday, Denver hosts Kansas City for the regular season’s final week.
Each practice day of the season, the Kansas City Chiefs release an official injury report leading up to the next game. On Sunday, the Denver Broncos will host Kansas City for each team’s regular-season finale at Empower Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3:25 p.m. Arrowhead Time.
Here is the Chiefs’ first official injury report of the week:

Some notes
- The Chiefs listed 11 players on their injury report — and, as expected, defensive tackle Chris Jones (calf), running back Isiah Pacheco (rib) and right tackle Jawaan Taylor (knee) did not practice.
- Kansas City listed four limited players: quarterback Patrick Mahomes (ankle), cornerback Trent McDuffie (knee), defensive tackle Mike Pennel (hamstring) and wide receiver Mecole Hardman (knee). Hardman is still on the Chiefs’ Reserve/Injured list, and Wednesday’s appearance opens up a 21-day window in which Kansas City will have to activate him.
- Considering Kansas City does not need to win Sunday’s game, it’s worth wondering how they operate with the other four players on the injury report, including left tackle D.J. Humphries (hamstring), who logged a full practice.
- Humphries is the Chiefs’ ideal choice to start at left tackle so that Joe Thuney can return to his natural position at left guard.
- The Broncos listed five players on their report, but only three were due to injury, and they were all full participants.
