With a Christmas doubleheader, a Thursday night game, and a Saturday tripleheader, Sunday’s slate of Week 17 games isn’t the jam-packed itinerary we’re used to seeing during a normal NFL week. And for Detroit Lions fans, there’s really only one game we care about: Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings. All week, Lions fans have been trying to convince themselves that they won’t lose their entire self identity if they root for the Packers just this one time, and believe me, it’s going to be fine.
Anyways, since the Lions play on Monday, all of Sunday can be spent watching football—the way football Sundays are intended to be spent. And while we’re all going to be impatiently waiting for the 4:25 p.m. ET Packers/Vikings game, maybe you want to talk about something else, too. I’ve been told it’s fantasy football championship week. There are other games that have some playoff implications, as well. Or maybe you just feel the impending sense of offseason doom, since it’s not that far away, and you want to squeeze every last ounce of NFL football while it’s still here.
