The latest news on who’s in and who’s out.

The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the inactives list for their 2024 NFL Week 16 game against the Washington Commanders.

The following Eagles players WILL NOT PLAY: Jalen Hurts, Nakobe Dean, Will Shipley, Nick Gates, Darian Kinnard, Trevon Keegan, and Ian Book.

Bryce Huff is notably ACTIVE despite being ruled questionable to play on the final injury report. This is an expected development since the Eagles activated Huff from injured reserve on Saturday.

Hurts was ruled out on Friday due to his concussion. Kenny Pickett will make his first start with the Eagles. Tanner McKee will be Pickett’s backup. Under the NFL’s third quarterback rule, Book is only allowed to play if both Pickett AND McKee leave the game due to injury.

Dean was ruled doubtful on Friday due to an abdomen injury. Oren Burks figures to start in his place at linebacker next to Zack Baun. Jeremiah Trotter Jr. and Dallas Gant (making his Eagles debut after being temporarily elevated from the practice squad) are the backup linebackers.

Shipley was ruled out on Friday due to his concussion. The team temporarily elevated Tyrion Davis-Price — who is making his Eagles regular season debut — from the practice squad to be the third running back behind Saquon Barkley and Kenny Gainwell.

Gates, Kinnard, and Keegan are healthy scratches yet again. Keegan is one game away from being inactive for the entire regular season.
