Who’s inactive for the Indianapolis Colts’ Week 17 matchup against the New York Giants?

The Indianapolis Colts released their list of inactive players ahead of Sunday’s Week 17 matchup against the New York Giants.

Among those inactive for the Colts include the list of players below.

Richardson is set to miss his third game of the season due to injury. The second-year quarterback is dealing with a back and foot injury. But, as head coach Shane Steichen said in his Friday press conference, the back injury is what’s causing Richardson to miss Sunday’s game more than the foot injury.

According to multiple reports, Richardson is dealing with back spasms. Both the back and foot injury caused Richardson to miss the entire week of practice. So, it’s not entirely surprising that he won’t play Sunday against the Giants.

In total, Richardson has missed five games this season, with two coming from his benching earlier this season and the other three coming from injuries.

Veteran backup Joe Flacco will start in place of Richardson.

For now, the Colts still remain alive in the AFC playoff picture. While Indianapolis will still need some help from other teams in the AFC, a win over the Giants would give them an 8-8 record while continuing to keep their hopes alive for another week.
