The Los Angeles Rams can position themselves to win the NFC West with a victory on Saturday night
The Los Angeles Rams host the Arizona Cardinals for Saturday night football action in Week 17, and L.A. will not clinch a playoff spot with a win, but their chances would go up exponentially. I’ll pick the Rams to win this game and further their win-streak to five, but can the Cards play spoiler? Absolutely.
This Cardinals team beat the Rams 41-10 in Week 2 earlier in the year. Are the Rams and Cardinals different since then? Sure, but facts are the facts and the last time these two teams faced off it was a one-sided affair in favor of AZ.
Marvin Harrison Jr. had perhaps his best game of the season with 130 receiving yards and two scores, running back James Conner put up over 100 yards with a score of his own (Conner is questionable to play on Saturday), and quarterback Kyler Murray looked unstoppable against Chris Shula’s defense.
Now, L.A. has the chance to avenge that early season loss with perhaps their biggest win of the year while showing everyone that this team is better in December then they were back in September.
The Rams did beat the New York Jets last week, but they failed to score in the first quarter and the more a team struggles at the start of games, the better chance their opponent has to grab momentum.
Their slow starts are concerning, but a win is a win, and I am picking L.A. to win on Saturday, but there are no sure things in this league.
Rams 27, Cardinals 13
Tune in Saturday night to see how this goes, and find out if the Rams will have a chance to clinch a postseason spot in Week 17, or if they will have to wait to see what happens in Week 18.
