Young Bengals are stepping up.
The Cincinnati Bengals win streak continues.
One thing that stands out in recent weeks is the youth movement on both sides of the ball. Second and third-year players are stepping up and making a huge impact.
Here are a few plays that stand out.
I think most people don’t understand how difficult this play by Chase Brown is pic.twitter.com/FgSt0Qmmu4

Not only does Chase Brown add a new dimension to the running game, he also makes the check down pass a chain-mover.
Here, Brown makes a tough catch on a low and off-target ball, leading him toward the defender. Still, Brown is able to beat the pursuit to the sticks and pick up the first down.
This is a valuable asset. Brown takes plays that previously resulted in a five-yard gain and turns them into a fresh set of downs. He keeps drives alive.

Jordan Battle has really stepped up in recent weeks, and it shows most in the run game.
In this clip, Battle starts as a high safety but takes off like a heat-seeking missile when the ball is handed off. He pursues the rusher inside out and makes the tackle in the backfield.

In this clip, Battle rocks down to linebacker depth and bursts into the backfield in pursuit of the rusher. This is a fantastic play.
Battle gives some much-needed second-level support to the run game. While the defense has struggled throughout the season, he has emerged as a bright spot that they can grow on moving forward.
Joesph Ossai plays the RB, then runs down the QB on the other side of the field pic.twitter.com/8nvXpMPK8Q

Joseph Ossai has looked impressive in recent weeks. He had been able to pressure the passer from inside and outside. One thing that stands out about him is his relentless pursuit of the football.
Just look at this play.
Ossai is responsible for the running back on this option play. He is disciplined and plays his assignment correctly, but when the quarterback pulls the ball and runs in the opposite direction, Ossai makes chase and runs him down.
Ossai is exactly the type of player this team values.
