Your open thread for Thursday Night Football
Week 17 of the 2024 NFL Season is just full of football, with games on five different days.
Sandwiched between Christmas Day and Saturday football, we have our usual Thursday Night Football action, with the Chicago Bears hosting the Seattle Seahawks.
The Bears are sitting at the bottom of an incredibly competitive NFC North — amazing, the NFCN boasts three teams with double-digit win totals this year. The Bears are hoping to get to that level with Caleb Williams, but they aren’t there yet.
The Seahawks, meanwhile, lost control of the NFC West when they stumbled just as the Los Angeles Rams surged. The Seahawks have a high ceiling with an explosive passing attack as well as a defense that resembled the Legion Of Boom at times this year.
The Seahawks are 4.5-point favorites on the road, per FanDuel Sportsbook. Can they take care of business and keep their playoff dreams alive?
Chris’ pick: The Seahawks will be without Kenneth Walker, but they should probably win this game.
The Bears have a lot of intriguing pieces, but they have yet to put it all together. The Seahawks, meanwhile, are fighting for their playoff lives and are trying to keep hope alive as the season winds down.
Seattle is, overall, the more mature team and that matters this time of year. I like Seattle’s ceiling and experience in this game, though Chicago could certainly give them problems.
