Will the Bears beat the Seahawks on Thursday Night Football and help Rams clinch NFC West
The Los Angeles Rams will be fully invested in the Thursday Night Football game between the Chicago Bears and Seattle Seahawks in Week 17. With a Bears win, the Rams will clinch the NFC West. However, the Bears have been on a losing skid of eight consecutive games. While the Seahawks did lose last week, they are still mathematically able to steal the NFC West from the Rams in the final two weeks.
Early on in the season, the Bears looked like they may be in contention for one of the wild card spots or just miss out on the playoffs. However, the Bears have since fired their coach and lost eight straight. Caleb Williams’ rookie season has been inconsistent as the first overall pick has been the most-sacked quarterback in 2024.
The Seahawks will be looking to keep their season alive with a win. Even if they do beat the Bears, the Rams could clinch the NFC West on Sunday with a win over the Cardinals and some help. The Seahawks lost last week in the final minute to the Vikings, but it was their only loss in the last six weeks.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Seahawks are 4.5-point favorites on the road against the Bears. The Bears have struggled to stay competitive in recent weeks, but it is their final home game of the season. With the Seahawks season on the line, they will almost certainly come out focused and look to be at their best. While the Bears are at home in primetime, I’ll take the Seahawks to win by a touchdown.
