The Green Bay Packers will host the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football.
It’s going to be a balmy 30 degrees at kickoff, with a chance of snow. And while that likely does classify as balmy for the Lambeau Field in late December, it still isn’t welcome news for the dome-dwelling Saints.
The Packers are in the unique position of being a 10-win team with two games left in the season yet also being in third place in their division. The Saints, meanwhile, are just waiting for a nightmare season to be over. They’ll be without their starting quarterback, running back, and wide receiver for this game, so it isn’t much of a surprise that they’re 14.5-point underdogs on the road.
Chris’ Picks
It would be an absolute shock if the Packers don’t come away from this game with a win. It’s certainly possible thanks to the volatility in Jordan Love’s game, but the Saints are a pretty bad team to start with and will be without Derek Carr and Alvin Kamara.
The Packers, meanwhile, are closer to full strength and a much better team in general.
Nothing comes easily in the NFL, but the Packers should have the closest thing to an easy win at home. They should get to 11-4 on the season and lock down a wild card spot.
