Brian Daboll’s Giants ‘not good enough’ as 34-7 loss at Falcons sets franchise record | SNY.tv
“It’s not good enough,” said Brian Daboll, who repeated the words throughout his postgame news conference as he fell to 17-31 as the Giants’ head coach since 2022. “Again, that’s my responsibility. You do everything that you can do each week — obviously, not good enough. So, of course, after every game, it hurts. It hurts to lose. I put a lot into it, and we have two more to finish off and we’ve got to put everything into it.”
Daboll on if he has lost the team
Brian Daboll was asked if he still believes his voice is being heard in the Giants’ locker room:

NY Giants: Losing has become an unshakable fabric of a storied history | The Record
In some ways, the results are leaving John Mara and Steve Tisch no choice but to contemplate if this team is headed in the right direction. Their Giants have won a Super Bowl in each of the last four decades. The four Vince Lombardi trophies in the lobby of their training facility are proof that they actually did happen.
They’ve also been double digit losers nine of last 11 years, and this has become their reality, and on game day, the product is nowhere near what it needs to be.
The Giants are officially the worst team in football. But we already knew that | The Athletic
They have been outscored 140-59 in the five games since Schoen declared that the team was “not far off.” The Giants have the second-worst point differential in the league despite Schoen lamenting the team’s disproportionate amount of losses in “close” games.
Of course, Schoen made those comments before the team benched — and eventually released — quarterback Daniel Jones. The four-year, $160 million contract Schoen gave Jones during the 2023 offseason was obviously regrettable. Compounding matters — and raising serious questions about Schoen’s quarterback evaluations — is a bad offense that has become completely dysfunctional without Jones.
Firing Giants’ Brian Daboll and not Joe Schoen would be a mistake | New York Daily News
How far have the Giants’ standards fallen if they are actually considering retaining GM Joe Schoen while making head coach Brian Daboll walk the plank?
Mike Vrabel to Giants or Jets (or somewhere else)? Which landing spot is most preferable? | NJ.com
There are four big categories to examine when comparing the Jets and Giants — ownership, general manager, quarterback situation, and the roster (aside from the quarterback).
The Giants get the edge in ownership, if only because Woody Johnson is one of the NFL’s most inept owners. And since the Giants probably will have the first or second overall draft pick next spring — a chance to get one of the top two quarterback prospects — they have that advantage.
The Giants head-coaching history lesson that must be remembered | New York Post
Let’s forget for a second what he became. Let’s just focus about what Giants fans knew about Duane Charles Parcells — better known as Bill — exactly 41 years ago Sunday: Dec. 22, 1983.
Two days earlier the Giants had lost a hard-fought 31-22 decision in D.C. to 14-2 Washington.
Giants’ Evan Neal explains comically bad pass block attempt in loss at Falcons | NJ.com
To his credit, Neal took accountability for his woeful effort after the 34-7 loss.
“Yeah, that specific play design, it’s my responsibility to cut my defensive end when he’s rushing, so I threw a cut” Neal said. “It didn’t look that good. But yeah, I just threw the cut on him.”

Where will Sam Darnold play next? A Kirk Cousins trade? Setting stage for 2025 QB carousel | The Athletic
Since 2019, when the Giants transitioned from Eli Manning to Daniel Jones, the Giants are second to last to the Chicago Bears in passing yards — and more than 1,000 yards behind 27 teams.
They struck out on QBs in the 2024 draft but have a great opportunity in April to land Ward or Sanders if they like either one. Otherwise, if the Giants make a shakeup at head coach, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to pair Darnold with a quality offensive-minded strategist.
Ex-Giants QB Daniel Jones Gifts Former O-linemen for Holidays | SI.com
Daniel Jones isn’t a member of the New york giants organization any more but that doesn’t mean that he’s not appreciative of the efforts made by every single one of his former offensive linemen this season.
Jones reportedly gifted his offensive linemen with a limited edition bottle of Clase Azul for the holiday season as a sign of his appreciation for their efforts on his behalf. Depending on the product purchased, each gift could have cost as much as $19,000.
Travis Hunter: Why Giants’ Adoree Jackson believes in his NFL future | The Record
“I think he can do it,” Jackson said of Hunter. “I think a lot of people just say you can’t do it because they couldn’t do it. That’s just how I think about it: people just put their own realities on somebody else. Maybe they couldn’t do it because they weren’t physically able to, but because the coach or coaches did not allow them to. So, I’m excited for [Hunter] and whatever he plans to do, or chooses to do. Very exciting player.”
