Giants seek to end nine-game losing streak
The New York Giants seek to avoid their franchise record 10th consecutive loss in a single season on Sunday when they are in Georgia to face the Atlanta Falcons.
The 2-12 Giants are 8.5-point underdogs to the 7-7 Falcons.
The Giants enter the weekend as one of only two two-win teams, with the Las Vegas Raiders being the other. The Giants currently have the No. 2 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, with the Raiders at No. 1.
Michael Penix Jr., the No. 8 overall pick in the 2024 draft, will make his first career start on Sunday for the Falcons.

Pre-game thoughts
Here are few thoughts I posted on Bluesky Sunday morning:
- I don’t know if it will be today or next week, but I think the Giants are winning at least one game before the season is over. Neither Atlanta or Indy (next week’s foe) is a great team. …
- Some will crush the Giants for not drafting him if Michael Penix has a great game today. I’m not buying that. I never thought Penix was a guy the Giants would draft with his injury history and Brian Daboll’s seeming preference for QBs who can be used in the run game.
- Seeing some media speculation about Evan Neal playing guard before the season is over. I wonder if the 2025 #NYG OL could be Thomas (LT), Runyan (LG), Schmitz (C), Neal (RG), Eluemunor (RT).
- Speaking of the OL, interested to see rookie UDFA Jake Kubas play at left guard on Sunday. If he can be a real player that would be a terrific find for GM Joe Schoen and Co., and a big help going forward.
