Kenny Pickett entered the game.
Eagles QB Jalen Hurts was forced off the field by the officials midway through the first quarter on Sunday against the Commanders to be evaluated for a concussion. Hurts didn’t want to come off the field, but eventually made his way to the medical tent. The QB returned to the sideline with his helmet on pretty quickly, but then went back into the tent and eventually ran into the locker room.

Hurts’ evaluation came in the middle of an offensive drive, so Kenny Pickett came in to finish things up. Pickett did a nice job finishing the drive, going 3-for-3 including a four-yard TD pass to A.J. Brown. The touchdown put the Eagles up 14-0 with seven minutes still to play in the first quarter.
It seemed like Jalen wanted to go back in. Walked near the field during that time out. Then when Pickett threw the tuddy the blue tent went back up. Jalen looked like he didn’t want to go back into it. Jogged to locker room shortly after. pic.twitter.com/m67prNxfUi

Hurts has been dealing with a broken finger on his non-throwing hand, something he admitted affected his performance last week against the Steelers. Still, the quarterback didn’t miss any time and was a full participant in practices during the week.
Obviously, you don’t want to see your QB go down with a concussion, but hopefully it’s something he’s able to recover from quickly and be back before the end of the regular season.
