The QB is in the spirit in a very cool way.
Joe Burrow really put a lot of thought into his holiday gifts this year.
He decided to give the guys who protect him (or attempt to) a very creative gift: ancient Japanese Katana swords that date back to the 1600s, according to Charlie Clifford.
Paul Dehner Jr. shared these details about the swords: “They are all unique. Each sword comes with its own story, from certain towns or battles.”
And Burrow made them even more exciting with how he presented them. “He put them all in a room and had them pick theirs out,” wrote Dehner Jr.
Needless to say, the offensive linemen were appreciative of their gifts. Clifford reported that Ted Karras, Orlando Brown Jr., and the others were “pretty pumped” upon receiving them.
“Joe does a great job at buying gifts that are extremely meaningful,” Brown Jr. said, according to Dehner Jr. “The fact that he bought me a sword, it’s the most ancient form of respect.”
As if we couldn’t love the Cincinnati Bengals QB any more.
Hopefully, the o-line will adopt more of a warrior mentality in their upcoming game against the Cleveland Browns and punish anyone who tries to get near Burrow.
We preview that game in the video below.
