The Colts receiving corps is expected to get a big boost in a critical late season road game against the Denver Broncos.
According to ESPN’s Stephen Holder, Indianapolis Colts starting slot wideout Josh Downs (“Questionable”) is expected to play during Sunday’s critical clash against the Denver Broncos despite a recent shoulder injury (via ESPN’s Adam Schefter):

The 2nd-year wide receiver has been a full participant in back-to-back practices, so he had certainly been trending towards being available in a must-win road game for the Colts.
He missed Week 13’s road win against the New England Patriots.
On the season, Downs has 53 receptions for 594 receiving yards (11.2 ypr. avg.) and 4 touchdown receptions during 6 starts.
His return should provide a big boost to fellow 2nd-year starter Anthony Richardson, who has been developing increased chemistry with Downs—the latter providing a sure-handed security outlet over the short to intermediate middle areas of the football field.
The Broncos have allowed the 13th most passing yards at 221.0 total passing yards per game, but just 18.0 points per game collectively (which is the 2nd best among all units).
Denver’s starting nickel is Ja’Quan McMillan, who has a +65.3 overall grade from PFF, which is the 83rd highest grade among all players at the cornerback position.
Whether Downs will be 100% remains to be seen, but his availability should provide another much needed weapon to the Indianapolis passing attack against a rather stingy defense.
