The Eagles’ left guard was sidelined in the second half on Sunday, and Tyler Steen took his place.
The Eagles-Steelers game was physical from kick-off, and the hits didn’t stop after halftime. Shortly after taking the field in the third quarter, Eagles left guard Landon Dickerson was sidelined with what the broadcast reported as a knee injury. After being evaluated in the medical tent for a bit, the lineman hung his helmet up and was seen staying warm.

Second-year Tyler Steen went in for Dickerson, something he’s done enough to feel comfortable in the offense, but ended up drawing two flags on his first drive on the field. To his credit, Steen was up against Steelers legend Cam Heyward, who would be a tough guy to cover for even the most experienced guy.
The Eagles were able to finish the drive with a field goal to extend their lead. With the physical style of the Steelers, if Philly can score again to go up two scores, they might consider keeping Dickerson, and anyone else dealing with something, on the sideline as a precaution.
