The Eagles’ QB also admitted that the broken finger did impact his performance against the Steelers.
Eagles’ QB Jalen Hurts was on the injury list throughout the week with a “left finger” designation, and he confirmed post-game on Sunday that it is a broken ring finger on his non-throwing hand. The good news, he didn’t think playing with the injury made it any worse, suggesting a shattered finger is a shattered finger, but it didn’t help things.
“It is broken, and it did impact my play.”
Reports starting circulating before the Eagles hosted the Steelers when Hurts showed up for the game with a bandage on his left hand.

Neither the quarterback, nor the coaches, seemed to make much of it this week, and Hurts was a full participant in practice. The QB didn’t seem hindered at all during warmups ahead of the Steelers game, either.

There was early speculation that Hurts might have injured his finger during a tush push last week against the Panthers, but the quarterback said that was incorrect.
The Eagles passing game had been at the forefront of everyone’s mind this week, and thankfully the injury to Hurts’ non-throwing hand didn’t affect the final result. The rest of the offense is reasonably healthy, so if Hurts does have some issues down the stretch, Kenny Pickett should be prepared to go.
