He detailed everything on his Instagram
A couple of days ago, we talked about the news that had been spreading around concerning the health of Minnesota Vikings legend Randy Moss and how when Moss was ready to let everyone know what was wrong with him, he would do so himself. Today, on his Instagram, he did just that.
You can see the video that Moss posted to his Instagram just a short time ago below.
Moss says during the video that he is a “cancer survivor,” revealing that doctors found cancer in his bile duct between his pancreas and his liver. He says that he has been in the hospital for six days after having the cancer removed and that he just got out of the hospital today.
Moss also says that he will be going through radiation and chemotherapy after this surgery, but then confidently declared that he was “back.”
The procedure that Moss underwent is called a “Whipple procedure,” and follows a procedure he had over Thanksgiving to put a stent in his liver. Moss also urged everyone to go through regular cancer screenings, and as someone who’s about six months older than Moss is, I can assure you that this has opened my eyes quite a bit.
If you want to support Randy Moss directly, he has the gear that he’s wearing in the video available on his personal website, with the proceeds going to support cancer research.
We know that Randy Moss still has a fight ahead of him in this one, but he’s gotten the cancer removed and hopefully the treatments he’ll be going through here in the future will get him back to full health sooner rather than later. We’re still sending positive thoughts and prayers towards Moss and his family as he continues to deal with his health issues.
