The latest news on Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.

The Philadelphia Eagles issued their first official injury report on Wednesday in advance of their Week 15 home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Eagles listed eight players under DID NOT PARTICIPATE: Lane Johnson, A.J. Brown, Landon Dickerson, Mekhi Becton, Josh Sweat, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Darius Slay, and Sydney Brown.

Lane missed practice due to personal reasons.

A.J. Brown, Dickerson, Becton, Sweat, CJGJ, and Slay were listed with rest designations. They’ll be good to go for Sunday.

Sydney Brown missed practice due to the knee injury that caused him to be inactive in Week 14. Seems like the backup safety is in jeopardy of missing another game.

The Eagles listed four players under LIMITED PARTICIPATION: Jalen Carter, Reed Blankenship, Cooper DeJean, and Britain Covey.

Carter is listed with a shoulder injury. Given his importance to the Eagles’ defense, the team will hope this does not hinder him.

Blankenship was upgraded to limited participation for the first time since suffering a concussion in Week 13. The starting safety is on track to return to the field this weekend.

DeJean is listed with a rest designation. He’ll be able to play.

Covey was listed under DNP last Wednesday before being limited on Thursday and Friday. He was then ruled out for Week 14. We’ll see if Covey can ramp up to being ready to play in Week 15.

The Eagles listed two players under FULL PARTICIPATION: Jalen Hurts and Nakobe Dean.

Hurts is a new addition to the injury report with a “left finger” designation. As a reminder, that’s his non-throwing hand. And that he was a full participant points to him not missing time due to this injury.

Dean is listed with an elbow injury but he should be able to play this weekend.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS INJURY REPORT (WEDNESDAY)

The Steelers listed nine players under DID NOT PARTICIPATE.

Six of them were listed with rest designations: Najee Harris, Cameron Heyward, Patrick Queen, old friend Isaac Seumalo, T.J. Watt, and Mike Williams. They’ll all be good to go for Sunday.

Three of them were listed with hamstring injuries: leading receiver George Pickens, leading tackler DeShone Elliott, and starting defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi.

We previously noted that Mike Tomlin described Pickens as “doubtful” to play this weekend. Pickens is by far and away the top option in the Steelers’ aerial attack so his potential absence is significant. Russell Wilson had his lowest passing yardage total this season when Pickens couldn’t play in Week 14.

Our associates over at Behind The Steel Curtain noted Elliott is “the top safety on the [Steelers] roster this season, being a versatile weapon defending both the pass and run with great success.” His absence could hurt their secondary outlook.

Ogunjobi ranks fourth on the Steelers in tackles for loss and fifth in sacks. He’s a quality starting defensive lineman and so Pittsburgh’s front will be a little less strong if he can’t play.

DID NOT PARTICIPATE

S DeShon Elliott (hamstring)
RB Najee Harris (resting vet)
DT Cameron Heyward (resting vet)
DT Larry Ogunjobi (hamstring)
WR George Pickens (hamstring)
LB Patrick Queen (resting vet)
OG Isaac Seumalo (resting vet)
EDGE T.J. Watt (resting vet)
WR Mike Williams (resting vet)

FULL PARTICIPATION

DT Montravius Adams (knee)
