The Miami Dolphins are looking to bounce back from a poor Week 13 performance as they face the New York Jets in Week 14.

It has been 10 days since the Miami Dolphins were on the field. Ten days since the team laid an egg against the Green Bay Packers and dropped to 5-7 on the season, putting their playoff chances on life support and ending what felt like a turnaround for the 2024 regular season. Ten days that we have all had to live with whatever it was we saw on the field during a nationally-televised Thanksgiving night game.

The Dolphins did not kill the narratives surrounding the team – struggles in the cold, on the road, and against winning teams – they reinforced them. It has been a rough 10 days trying to put that loss behind all of us.

On Sunday, the Dolphins return to the field with a potential palate cleanser on tap. The Dolphins host their AFC East rivals, the New York Jets, on Sunday. Anytime these two teams meet, it gives the Dolphins and their fans a chance to leave the weekend feeling good. Today’s game could provide those good feelings.

The Jets are struggling even more than Miami this season. They are 3-9 on the year, and two-thirds of the fans think the team needs to bench quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the former NFL MVP for whom the team traded in 2023. The Jets are just trying to get to the end of the season at this point, and the Dolphins have an opportunity to continue the 1struggles in New Jersey.
