How the Bengals beat the Cowboys.
I know.
I know.
Trust me. This team is capable of winning games, and yes, it is important.
Here is how the Cincinnati Bengals can do it to the Dallas Cowboys.
Pride
It’s happening. Guys are starting to bow out of the season because this thing is going nowhere. This team needs to figure out who they are and the coaches and front office need to figure out who is sticking around when this travesty of a season is over.
They need to show some pride and go out there and compete.
Next Man Up
With recent IR moves such as Logan Wilson and Evan MacPherson, other players will have to step up. This probably won’t be the end of it either.
No one is playing through pain at this point. Sooner or later, we will get to see the whole roster. This is a tryout for these guys. They need to show up and show out or, at the very least, make a field goal.
Get the Backup QB Monkey Off Your Back
Cooper Rush beat the Bengals two years ago and played pretty well.
He isn’t the only backup quarterback who has given this team the business, either.
Lou Anarumo can really break down an opponent, but if he doesn’t have film on the quarterback, it can be a problem.
They need to beat Rush.
Run the Ball
The Cowboys’ defense has its problems as well. The Bengals can run the ball on these guys, and they just need to go out there and get it done. They need to show some fire on the line of scrimmage and get movement at the point of attack.
Score More Points
This reminds me of the episode of the Simpsons where Homer was “horse whispering” and said, “When the race starts, run really fast.”
It goes without saying that you have to score more points to win the game, but this team really needs to score a lot of points.
The defense cannot be trusted, period.
