Matt LaFleur was not too happy with one Lions fan before Thursday’s game.

Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur is responding after he was seen on camera in a pre-game verbal altercation with a Detroit Lions fan.

The NFL GameDay crew was previewing the matchup Thursday night when the cameras turned live to the Packers coach clearly yelling at someone on the field. Turns out he was going toe-to-toe with a Lions fan (we can assume as he was wearing a Brian Branch jersey), who seemed to be one of the people carrying the giant American flag on the field in a pregame ceremony.

Take a look (language warning):

Nothing more American than holding a flag and yelling over sports. Just kidding! Kind of. Anyway, LaFleur was asked after the game about what the heck was going on.

“I’ve never been a part of something like that,” he said. “He was talking junk to our players, giving them the ‘throat slash’ sign, and you’re trying to de-escalate it, and then he gets in my face I thought it was pretty unsportsmanlike.”

Whoops, my finger slipped.

“I’ve never seen that. I’ve been on many fields and usually they police that much better,” LaFluer continued. “I thought it was an arrogant fan that wanted to get part of the action. I would like to see security or something step in and get them out of there.”

It appears Dan Skipper didn’t hate it.

And onto the rest of your notes.

  • Speaking of chirping, Xavier McKinney was asked earlier this week how he feels about going up against Amon-Ra St. Brown, who famously wore a “Green Bay Sucks” shirt last matchup.

  • And St. Brown took that personally (Michael Jordan meme.)

  • After the game, 97.1’s Jeff Riger asked McKinney about facing St. Brown:

  • Bonus:

  • More chirping!!!

  • Why am I weeping? Game ball goes to Tim “Two-Tuddys” Patrick and Jake “Money” Bates.

  • A fantastic stat for you.

  • Packers fans are not happy, my friends.

  • Alex Anzalone, encouraging the fans from the sidelines. Well, actually he was up in a suite sitting right next to Aidan Hutchinson. Great to see them still able to be in the building to support their squad.

  • Tigers star Tarik Skubal stopped in to see the action:

  • AirCorg just gets it.

  • I love this post.

  • I also love this tweet. Notes has just become me sharing posts I liked I guess.
