Another running back works on limited basis
The Las Vegas Raiders have been riddled by injuries all season, but their current 53-man roster is getting healthier.
Wednesday’s injury report, to begin the practice week before Sunday’s Week 14 game at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was much smaller than in recent weeks for the Raiders. Yet, Las Vegas opened the Week 14 practice week without two key players.
Both running back Zamir White (quad) and cornerback Nate Hobbs (ankle) remained out. Hobbs has missed three games and White has been out for two games.
Running back Alexander Mattison (ankle) practiced on a limited basis. He missed the past two games. He did practice last week on a limited basis before missing the Kansas City game. Whether Mattison plays or not, Raiders coach Antonio Pierce said rookie Sincere McCormick will continue to get plenty of carries. He has a total of 17 rush attempts in the past two games.
Meanwhile, for Tampa Bay, offensive standouts, wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring/calf) and running back Bucky Irving (hip/back) were held out of a walk through. Their status for the game will be monitored throughout the week.
