The Minnesota Vikings came back against the Arizona Cardinals to win their 5th straight game.
Kyler Murray – Why is Murray a Nincompoop? The first interception to Byron Murphy was a desperate lob in the air. They were up by 6 with a 3rd and 7 and Kyler treated it like it was 4th and 17 and they were down by 6. He had a little pressure and just lobbed it up. Murray is uber talented, but he still makes way too many simple mental mistakes. Physical talent is there and you have to wonder if it’s work ethic or mental ability at some point.
Kirk Cousins – Why is Cousins a Nincompoop? 4 INTs in a 4 point loss. He couldn’t get out of his own way. The coaches should’ve done better to help him. Up by 1, the last 4 drives of the game were, Pick-6, FG, INT, and INT. Cousins folds when it matters most and I am so, so glad he’s not wearing purple on Sundays anymore.

Drew Petzig (Arizona OC) – Why is Petzig a Nincompoop? The play calling was atrocious. The Cardinals averaged 5 YPC and had over 150 yards on the ground. The Cardinals were up by 6 and needed a drive to give the defense a rest and kill some clock. The Cardinals ran the ball for 12 yards on 1st down. Then passed three straight times. Short pass for 3 yards, deep to Harrison and deep interception by Byron Murphy Jr. Know your team and your QB. You run the ball with Kyler, get him on the move and give him a simple read. You can’t treat Kyler Murray like Josh Allen. He’s not going to make the right call and he’s going to lose you the game.
Doubters – Why are the doubters Nincompoops? You still see everything saying the Vikings are “frauds”, they have an “easy schedule”, or they aren’t as good as teams that have 4 or 5 losses. The Vikings are clearly a top team in the NFC and are going to be a force to be reckoned with. The Lions are stacking up injuries and this team is going on a run.
Aaron Jones – Why is Jones a Nincompoop? The two fumbles were bad. It wasn’t some great play by the defense. O’Neil saved him on the 1st one, but he lost the 2nd. Jones needs to hang onto the ball after almost costing the team last week with a red zone fumble. KOC is going to have to bust back out the fumble stick at practice. It was his birthday Monday, so I try not to be too harsh, but it was not a good performance.
