Sean McVay doesn’t think Matthew Stafford will miss action from his latest injury
Sean McVay confirmed on Monday that quarterback Matthew Stafford suffered “a lateral ankle sprain” against the New Orleans Saints this week. The Rams do not expect the injury to keep Stafford from starting against the Buffalo Bills in Week 14, or even to prevent him from practicing this week.
However, this is the quarterback and it’s the ever-durable Matthew Stafford so the injury is worth monitoring moving forward as the Rams stay in contention for an NFC West title.

In addition, McVay added that tight end Tyler Higbee would probably not make his 2024 debut against the Bills but that he’s made remarkable progress in rehabbing. This would seem to imply that Higbee will debut in Week 15 against the San Francisco 49ers.
Stafford has 8 touchdowns in the last 4 games, bringing his season total to 17. He’s benefited as much as anybody from the returns of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, and his receivers need him too.
