The rookie showed off an incredible feat of strength when he picked up Derrick Henry while making a tackle.

Since getting thrown into the starting lineup earlier in the season, rookie DB Cooper DeJean has been one of the best players on the Eagles defense. He’s made huge stops against some of the most talented players in the league, and continued that trend on Sunday against the Ravens — and Derrick Henry, specifically.

Henry is listed at 6-foot-2, 247 pounds, which is considerably bigger than the 6-foot-0, 198 pound DeJean. But brute strength doesn’t care about weight differentials, and DeJean had the perfect fundamentals to make the huge tackle while picking Henry up off the ground.

That’s insane! Defenders don’t usually just pick Henry up while trying to stop him from running them over, and there’s a reason for that.

This play by DeJean might be a little more surprising if it weren’t for the Unscripted video the Eagles released last week. As head coach Nick Sirianni gives his post-game speech, you see DeJean in the background, with his abs on display — all the evidence you need that the rookie absolutely has the core strength required to body slam a guy as large as Derrick Henry.
