It’s a day off from Detroit Lions football. That used to be a relief from pain, but now it just feels empty. I suppose that’s the difference between being a fan of a team widely considered as a joke vs. rooting for an 11-1 team. Funny how that works.
But at the same time, there is something relaxing about watching eight games of football at once without having too much emotionally on the line. Sure, there are results that will directly impact the Lions — YOU CAN CHECK OUT OUR WEEK 13 ROOTING GUIDE HERE — but for the most part, it’s a veg-out on the couch kind of afternoon, and I love that.
