Want to scout the Lions’ final two non-NFC North regular season opponents? Well, you can watch both teams square off on tonight’s “Sunday Night Football,” featuring the 49ers and Bills. Come chat with us in our open thread.
The Detroit Lions are 11-1 on the season with just five regular season games remaining on their schedule. They will play all three teams in their division—Packers, Bears, and Vikings—for a second time, with their remaining two games coming against the San Francisco 49ers (5-6) and Buffalo Bills (9-2)—who just so happen to be the featured matchup in the Week 13 installment of “Sunday Night Football.”
The Lions face the Bills in Week 15, currently scheduled to take place at 4:15 p.m. ET at Ford Field. Buffalo is currently on a six-game winning streak, and according to the folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook, they’re also the favorites in this game with the betting line set at Bills -6.5 points.
The Lions will travel to San Francisco in Week 17 for an NFCC rematch on “Monday Night Football.” The defending NFC champs have dealt with injuries all season long and their record is a reflection of how challenging that has been. Quarterback Brock Purdy is expected to return this week (he is listed as questionable) which will give the 49ers a fighting chance to make this a competitive game.
Of course, the snow makes everything a little more interesting…
