Instant analysis of Ravens 24-19 loss Eagles in Week 13
The Ravens still look like a dangerous AFC playoff team, but they’ll need to reevaluate things on both sides of the football after a 24-19 loss to the Eagles at M&T Bank Stadium. The loss is the second to an NFC foe for quarterback Lamar Jackson, and even more concerning, Baltimore didn’t look motivated to meet the physical challenge head-on. The Ravens lacked personnel at the safety position, and Baltimore’s explosive offense was held to just 12 points before a late Lamar Jackson touchdown pass.
With a much-needed bye week upon us, we’re looking at an instant analysis of the loss.

Midway through the second half, Tucker was 0-2 from 50+ yards and 2-4 on the afternoon. This season, Tucker is 19/27 on field goals (70%) and 41/43 on extra points (95%), both career lows, according to the Baltimore Banner.
Saquon Barkley-Derrick Henry

Both players had solid days, but Barkley had the MVP moment and a 25-yard scoring play. Overall, Barkley had 23 carries for 107 yards (4.7 avg) and one rushing touchdown. Henry was impactful and finished with 19 carries for 82 yards.
Todd Monken

Vic Fangio is an excellent defensive coordinator, and Philadelphia held the Ravens to 12 points with 1.:04 left in the fourth quarter. Baltimore’s run-pass balance was about even, with 36 passes and 32 rushing plays, but Derrick Henry still had four fewer carries than Saquon Barkley. He could have taken snaps away from Justice Hill in critical situations.
Lamar Jackson-Jalen Hurts dual

Two of the NFL’s highest-paid players took a backseat in this battle. Jalen Hurts was 11-19 passing for 118 yards, one touchdown, and a 93.8 rating. Hurts contributed a rushing touchdown as well. Jackson countered with 23-36 passing for 237 yards, two touchdowns, and a 101.3 rating.

Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton went into the concussion protocol in the first quarter but was able to return. Baltimore lost wide receiver Rashod Bateman to a knee injury and safety Sanoussi Kane to a hamstring injury. The Eagles were without wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring). Reed Blankenship left the game because of a concussion. Eagles wide receiver Britain Covey left with a neck injury, and Dallas Goedert exited with a knee issue.
Diontae Johnson

Even with Rashod Bateman injured and Nelson Agholor dropping passes, Diontae Johnson played no snaps on the night, and head coach John Harbaugh had no apparent answer why.
