Despite missing two games, Nabers could be headed toward a rookie record for receptions
The New York Giants’ 2024 season has been miserable. In the midst of the misery, though, it has been clear that No. 6 overall pick Malik Nabers is a special talent. The rookie wide receiver has the numbers, and a 10-game NFL record, to prove it.
With eight catches for 69 yards on Thanksgiving Day Nabers increased his season total to 75 catches, an NFL rookie record for the first 10 games of a career. The previous mark? That was 71, set by Odell Beckham Jr. with the Giants in 2014.
Here is the top five:
Malik Nabers 75
Odell Beckham, Jr. 71
Brock Bowers 70
Puka Nacua 69
Saquon Barkley 64
Nabers has a chance to break Beckham’s 12-game record of 91 catches.

Puka Nacua of the Los Angeles Rams set the NFL rookie record for receptions with 105 last year. Nabers would need 31 catches over the final five games to break that mark, an average of 6.2 per game. He is currently averaging 7.5 receptions per game. Provided that the Giants get quarterback and offensive line play that allows it, Nabers has a good shot at breaking that mark.
Nabers is also within reach of the Giants’ single-season franchise record for receptions of 107, set by Steve Smith in 2009.
