Your open thread for the Friday afternoon NFL game
The NFL is going head-to-head with the college game today, and they’re fighting Rivalry Weekend with a rivalry of their own.
The 10-1 Kansas City Chiefs will host the 2-9 Las Vegas Raiders today on Amazon Video.
Kansas City has been hit hard by injury this year, but has still found ways to win. As long as they have Pat Mahomes and Andy Reid, the Chiefs will remain a force to be reckoned with and can’t be counted out of any game.
The Raiders, meanwhile, are a complete mess. They’re adrift with a quarterback room that might be worse than that of the New York Giants, and less talent on their roster as well. Anything can happen in a game between division rivals, but this one feels more like a formality.
Chiefs vs. Raiders
Chris’ pick – The Chiefs. I mean, can anyone really pick the Raiders to come away with the win on the road?
They have some good players, but Brock Bowers and Maxx Crosby can’t be expected to pull this one out on their own. Maybe if the Chiefs get lost on the way to their own stadium, or are still drowsy from all the turkey last night.
The Chiefs come into this game as the overwhelming favorites and are favored to win by 13.5 points per FanDuel sports book. All things considered, I wonder if the game will even be that close.
