Can the Dolphins upset the Packers in the cold weather on Thanksgiving?
Hope everyone is having a fantastic Thanksgiving! If there is one thing that we can be thankful for, it’s that the NFL put a good game in the primetime slot. After making it through Lions-Bears and Cowboys-Giants, the Thursday Night game will bless us with the Miami Dolphins traveling to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers.
The Dolphins appear to be a team in position to make a late-season push at a playoff spot. After starting slow and managing Tua Tagovailoa’s concussion injury, the Dolphins have won three games in a row and are one game below .500. The Dolphins defense has been playing better. While the offense hasn’t hit its full stride, Tua at least has them playing on time.
Meanwhile, the Packers have won five of their last six games and are also looking good. They beat the 49ers by 28 points last week and while Jordan Love has been inconsistent, he’s been good in the big moments. The Packers defense is also finding its identity under new defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Packers are 3.5-point favorites in this game. This is a game between two competitive teams with good offenses. However, the weather could play a factor in this one. It’s a brisk 28 degrees in Green Bay and the Dolphins typically have not performed well in the colder weather. Tua could struggled in this game with the weather which would have a negative impact on the Dolphins offense. I’ll take the Packers by a touchdown.
The Pick: Packers (-3.5)
Season Record: 15-21
