Quarterback Tommy DeVito is being listed as questionable by the New York Giants for their Thanksgiving Day game against the Dallas Cowboys.
DeVito has has been listed as a limited practice participant the last two days because of an injury to his right (throwing) forearm.
DeVito made his first start of the season on Sunday after the Giants benched and then waived former starter Daniel Jones, who signed on Wednesday with the Minnesota Vikings.
“My whole body’s kind of sore,” DeVito said on Tuesday. “First time playing in a while, took a couple shots.”
DeVito said his plan was to play, but admitted that he had only thrown lightly since the injury. If DeVito can’t play, Drew Lock would start. Tim Boyle is the Giants’ third quarterback.
The Giants will be without key players on both lines.
Starting left tackle Jermaine Eluemunor (quad) has been ruled out. Chris Hubbard will likely start in his place. Starting right tackle Evan Neal (hip) does not have an injury designation, meaning he will play.
On the defensive line, Armon Watts, a rotational player on a defensive line that does not have enough depth, will be out with a shoulder injury.
Edge defender Azeez Ojulari is being placed on IR due to a toe injury.
Starting cornerback Tae Banks is questionable with a rib injury.
